Narrow-leafed hop bush is a tall shrub of 2-3 metres which is commonly found growing on light sandy soils. This highly variable bushy shrub has shiny bright green sticky leaves and during spring, papery reddish three-winged fruits. The species is very hardy, being able to tolerate a wide range of conditions, and is therefore widespread throughout Australia. It is a prolific colonising species and is one of the first plants to establish on disturbed ground. Distribution of the Narrow-leafed hop bush in Australia. | |
